What tools do I need to be able to participate?

This course is designed for WordPress users.

To get the most out of this course, you do need a Growing Business (a.k.a paid) MailChimp account so that you can use the automation tool. MailChimp starts at just $10 a month.

I also recommend the $99 Business License for Gravity Forms. You will need the $99 level in order to get the basic add-ons (a.k.a plugin), including the add-on that helps you integrate Gravity Forms with MailChimp.

Do I have to use WordPress and Gravity Forms?

Ideally yes, but not necessarily. I will suggest alternatives to Gravity Forms, but I won’t go into intricate detail in the course.

My goal for you is to fully utilize MailChimp’s groups and segments to track and filter your subscribers. Leadpages beautifully syncs with MailChimp and groups in your list, so this course would be very applicable to fellow Leadpages fans. With Zapier integration and/or the list housekeeping techniques that I’ll share, you could use just about any web page and form builder. If you have specific software that you’d like to ask about, contact me.

I’m new to email marketing and MailChimp. Am I too much of a beginner?

Nope. When it comes to creating lessons, one of my core values is to make sure I don’t skip any of the little details that some of us take for granted. And to top it off, in the Facebook community, no question is too small, too big, or “stupid.” More often than not, the very questions you are pondering are on the minds of many others and they’re relieved when you ask!

I’m new to WordPress. Am I too much of a beginner?

Ok, so, this is not a course to teach you how to use WordPress. That said, the video lessons are fast paced, but detailed. You can pause and rewind all you like, and you can ask follow-up questions in the Facebook community. I’ve been supporting students of web design and development for five years (in the Web Designer Beauty School) so I’ve got your back!

How much time should I expect to spend on the course?

It depends. It is my goal to keep the total time for the videos each day to a minimum so that you can spend your time actually implementing what you are learning right then and there. I can’t predict how much time you will spend writing and designing an welcome automation campaign, for example, but I intend to teach you everything you need to know in less than an hour each week day (Monday – Friday) over two weeks.

Will the webinars require live participation?

Nope. We have students joining us from all over the world and unfortunately there’s no perfect time to meet when everyone is awake. I encourage students to submit questions before the webinars so I can answer them whether you are present or not. And of course there’s always the Facebook community.

How long do I have access to the course?

You’ll have access to the content for one year should you need a refresher or want go to back to a lesson you weren’t quite ready to do yet.
